Try a twist on the metallic trend and create a tarnished metal look that will set your eyes off this summer.

As metals are exposed to air, a thin green film (patina) spreads along the surface creating an iridescent greenish gold sheen.  This warm shade looks great on any eye color and can be worn in a variety of styles.

Here are 3 ways to wear a tarnished gold look:

  1. Long-Lasting Luster.  Squeeze a drop of Makeup Forever Aqua Seal (1) onto the back of hand and dampen with one side of your 200 oval shadow brush (2).  Dip damp side into olive green shadow and then press onto your eye lid, using the dry side of brush to blend into surrounding skin and remove excess moisture. Look down while mixture dries for 2-3 minutes.  Wipe brush off with a paper towel then re-wet one side and dip into the gold shade.  Press shadow onto the center of lid and use the other side to blend edges into the green layer.  Try L’Oreal Paris HiP Metallic Eye Shadow Powder Duo in Shocked (3).
  2. Green Glaze.  Try a new liquid eye shadow formula like Giorgio Armani Eye Tint in Green Iron (4).  Sweep over lower half of eye lid then blend up and out along the socket with your 200 oval shadow brush for a light veil of color.
  3. Antique Accent.  Run a greenish-gold pencil over your lower waterline to bring out any green or gold flecks in your eyes.  Try Chanel Precision Eyeliner in Khaki Dore (5).
