Dull, dry skin can be a symptom of winter but lucky for us, Sam has the solution! Her winter makeup tutorial is designed to “pep up your skin in the coldest months of the year.”
Below you’ll find all her pro tips and tricks to create a flawless, dewy look.
Flawless Base:
- Tip > Lighten the coverage of your foundation and add a radiant glow by mixing a medium coverage foundation with a shimmering moisturizer. Sam uses Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation for ~25.00 Pounds, available through the U.K. site (1) blended with BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector for ~$41 (2). Apply with your Essential Foundation Brush.
- Tip > All Real Techniques brushes are multi-tasking, so don’t judge a brush by its color (or name)! One of Sam’s favorite concealer brushes is actually the Deluxe Crease Brush, which she uses here to hide darkness with Bobbi Brown’s Creamy Concealer for ~$22 (3).
- Follow with the Multi-Task Brush and loose powder to set your flawless base. Sam uses Chanel’s Natural Finish Loose Powder for ~$52 (4).
Enhanced Eyes:
- Use your Domed Shadow Brush with a shimmering pink shadow to create a naturally beautiful eye look. Sam chooses the festive NARS Fathom for ~$23 (5). Use a clean duplicate of the same brush to blend.
- Fill in brows with a brow pencil to naturally define. Sam uses MAC Impeccable Brow Pencil in Taupe for ~$15 (6).
- Tip > One of Sam’s favorite eye lining brushes is actually the Brow Brush! Apply dark shadow along the upper lash using this angled brush to create a flawless line. Sam uses MAC Carbon eyeshadow for ~$15 (7).
- Finish with black mascara. Sam’s choice is Clinique High Definition Mascara for ~$14.50 (8).
Perfect Finish:
- With your Contour Brush, work a coral blush tint into cheeks for a flawless glow. Sam’s choice is Pixi Sheer Cheek Gel in Sun Kissed for ~$18 (9).
- Finish with a coral lipstick, like Avon’s Colordisiac Lipstick in Can’t Resist Coral for ~8.50 UK (10).
